When is liability insurance needed?

Personal liability renters insurance gives tenants financial support if they are accused of or sued for failing to protect another person from a foreseeable risk, resulting in property damage or injury. For example, let's say their dog bites a passing jogger or a party guest and causes a trip to the hospital. Whether or not the incident takes place in their apartment, they could be liable for damages if the other person brings a claim against them because they failed to control their dog. Other scenarios could be negligence that leads to a worker's injury, swimming pools, trampolines, as well as failure to report a rotting tree to the landlord when a tenant is responsible for maintaining the property.
